Q: I'm an MSNTV user and am having difficulty registering. I keep getting a "your cookies are not turned on" error message. Is this an MSNTV issue?
A: Unfortunately, yes. It appears the problem is related to the "cookie" file MSNTV stores for its users on their server. However, you can try later to see if you can register successfully, as the problem sometimes corrects itself.

Q: Why is the "cookie" file causing problems with my ability to sign-in/register?
A: Normally, the "cookie" file is stored locally on your computer and is used to hold customization information for Web sites you visit. In the case of iWon, cookies are necessary to register, display the Sweepstakes entries you have earned, and save your sign-in information.

Unfortunately, due to intermittent problems at MSNTV, we are sometimes unable to retrieve or properly write information to the cookie file of MSNTV users, and as a result, you may experience difficulty signing-in or even registering at iWon.

Q: Why do I need to have cookies to use iWon?
A: As noted in the Subscriber agreement, cookies are required to become an iWon member and participate in our sweepstakes online. Cookies allow us to know who is getting entries, allows for personalization of your iWon home page, and saves your sign-in information so you don't have to manually sign-in each time you visit the site. In short, without cookies, you would be unable to collect entries.

Q: When will the MSNTV "cookie" problem be fixed?
A: We cannot offer additional technical support for issues regarding problems (signing-in/registering) as a result of cookie errors. Please feel free, however, to let MSNTV know you have been unable to register or are having difficulty signing-in at iWon.com. It is very frustrating for us, as well.
