A developer in our Internet Systems Development area will be responsible for client software design, coding and implementation of development projects related to a defined functional area of our sites. This could potentially include client side ActiveX controls web-browser plugins and applications. As a developer at TEN, the individual will be responsible for contributing to the creation of program designs and specifications, communicate with management regularly on the progress of active projects, while adhering to agreed upon deadlines, work with systems developers to design communications between client-software and servers and will code and implement programs according to project specifications, using development coding tools and standards established by the development team management. To qualify, you have at least four years of programming experience, the majority of which is internet or intranet related. In addition, you have technical expertise in COM, C++, GUI development and object oriented programming in a MS-Windows environment. Strong MS-Windows SDK or MFC experience alsong with multi threading, ATL and client side ActiveX controls is a must. Experience developing mass-market commercial software is a plus.

As a System Operator at The Excite Network, you will operate and monitor production, staging and development systems made of up Solaris and Intel Linux Systems. In addition, you will be responsible for trouble ticketing, escalating problems and running backups. To qualify you have 1-2 years operations exp with Solaris and/or Linux as well as experience with Legato and/or EDM backup software. Strong communication, typing skills and response technique skills are a must. Technical certification and/or degree preferred but not required.
