Client Software Developer
A developer in our Internet Systems Development area will be responsible for client software design, coding and implementation of development projects related to a defined functional area of our sites. This could potentially include client side ActiveX controls web-browser plugins and applications. As a developer at TEN, the individual will be responsible for contributing to the creation of program designs and specifications, communicate with management regularly on the progress of active projects, while adhering to agreed upon deadlines, work with systems developers to design communications between client-software and servers and will code and implement programs according to project specifications, using development coding tools and standards established by the development team management. To qualify, you have at least four years of programming experience, the majority of which is internet or intranet related. In addition, you have technical expertise in COM, C++, GUI development and object oriented programming in a MS-Windows environment. Strong MS-Windows SDK or MFC experience alsong with multi threading, ATL and client side ActiveX controls is a must. Experience developing mass-market commercial software is a plus.

Junior Associate

Site Editor
As a Site Editor you will perform first level production fixes and assist the operators in replicating and validating reported problems and alerts. You will also be responsible for off-hours product testing and evaluation, monitoring member feedback periodically to spot and escalate new member reported trends/issues and assisting with off-hours Community Alerts in Chat/Boards. To qualify, you possess effective written and oral communication skills, an eye for detail and a passion for perfection, are up-to-date with current affairs, news, and cultural events to bring evaluate the "member experience" of site content and presentation, possess a BS/BA or equivalent professional experience and are comfortable working in a Microsoft Windows environment with some exposure to web-based applications, and dealing with Web browser and computer/operating system compatibility issues.

Sales Planner
Do you have two to three years experience in media planning? Are you looking for an opportunity to "own" your position and work on a dynamic, high-energy team? Our Sales Planners will assist their Account Director's with packaging client and agency presentations according to client objectives, optimizing client campaigns and will conceive and execute media and sales plans for clients targeting specific demographic and geographic groups. Graphic Designer

You will create visual design including typography, visual concept, logo and icon design and will develop innovative and creative concepts for The Excite Network and its partner programs. Qualified candidates must be skilled with Photoshop, Illustrator and HTML. Shockwave, Image Ready and Image Optimization are a big plus! Additionally, you will have formal training in design and amazing illustration skills, previous experience designing in an online environment, 2+ years experience in design and multimedia and a strong, visual portfolio including URL's. Account Director (Ad Sales)
Do you live and breathe advertising sales? Do you read Ad Age from cover to cover the day you get it? Do you consider each new person you meet a potential client? As an Account Director, you will be responsible for selling, servicing and managing strategic partnerships across The Excite Network. Typical functions of this position include serving as the "end to end" customer satisfaction of each account, identifying opportunities to develop new accounts and to increase the performance of existing accounts and ensuring that all specifications per client are being met both by The Excite Network and our clients. You will develop strategic tactical plans for clients; track client performance against revenue goals and changing business strategies while continually evaluating and analyzing data in order to problem solve, trouble shoot and grow sales. The Account Director will develop new product ideas and /or solutions to maximize client performance across all The Excite Network selling platforms; ensure client satisfaction by pro-active response to client questions and concerns and ensure optimization of client opportunities. The ideal candidate will have both traditional and Internet ad sales background and is looking for a high profile, lucrative opportunity. Opportunities located in Los Angeles, CA and Chicago, IL.

System Operator
Do you have strong communication, technical and diagnostic skills? The ability to simultaneously juggle issues and problem solve? Enjoy working a "shift schedule"? As a System Operator at The Excite Network, you will operate and monitor production, staging and development systems made of up Solaris and Intel Linux Systems. In addition, you will be responsible for trouble ticketing, escalating problems and running backups. To qualify you have 1-2 years operations exp with Solaris and/or Linux as well as experience with Legato and/or EDM backup software. Strong communication, typing skills and response technique skills are a must. Technical certification and/or degree preferred but not required.
