iWon Ranks As Stickiest Portal on the Internet for 2000
Ahead of Yahoo!, AOL, MSN and Excite

(Irvington, NY, February 26, 2001) – iWon, (www.iwon.com), the Internet’s leading loyalty-based portal, today announced that based on Media Metrix data, it was the stickiest portal on the Internet, ahead of Yahoo!, AOL, MSN, and Excite for the calendar year 2000.

Over the last 12 months, iWon ranked as the #1 portal in terms of average usage days per visitor per month, average unique pages-viewed per visitor per month and average minutes per visitor spent per month, making it the stickiest portal on the Web for the year 2000.

According to Media Metrix Ratings, January 2000 – December 2000, the following are the top 10 stickiest portals for the year, with average minutes spent, average unique pages and average usage days (per visitor per month)*:

Over the past year, iWon’s loyalty metrics have been consistently growing. For the time period January 2000 – December 2000, iWon’s average minutes spent per visitor per month increased 79%, usage days per visitor in a month increased by 26% and unique pages per visitor in a month increased by 31% (Media Metrix).

January 2001 represents all time highs for iWon in all of the loyalty metrics.
According to the recently released January 2001 data, iWon reached an all-time high for the “average minutes spent per visitor per month” garnering an average of 113.7 minutes, increasing more than 7% over last month and for the “average usage days per visitor per month” garnering an average of 9.7 days, increasing more than 4% over last month (Media Metrix, January 2001).

Additionally, iWon leads the portals with the highest percentage of monthly visitors that return on a daily basis. 31% of iWon monthly visitors return on a daily basis compared to the next closest portal with 23% of MSN’s monthly visitors returning on a daily basis (Media Metrix, January 2001).
