Q: I am a Macintosh user and can't access my email. Why?

A: The new iWon Email system now includes new features and functionality that unfortunately does not currently work with the Macintosh system. We are working extremely hard to solve this problem and allow valued Mac users, like you, to continue to use our email system.

If you need to access new email that is sent to your iWon account, click here to use our feedback form and include an email address where we can forward your messages, as well as the iWon email address that you would like forwarded. Please include the name, birthday and phone number that you registered under.

Q: When I get into my email account, all I see are blank pages. What's wrong?

A: If blank pages are loading within your iWon Email account, we recommend you "refresh" or "reload" your browser page. This will return you to the iWon Email login page. Please sign in again. If you continue to experience the blank page problem, we also suggest that you clear your browser cookies by clicking here. The reason for the blank pages has to do with security verification of your username. We are working to resolve this issue shortly.

Q: I am a Sega, WebTV, iOpener or Macintosh user and I can't access my mail. Why?

A: To get your new email forwarded to you from your previous iWon Email account, click here to use our feedback form and we will forward it to you! (Please be sure to include a valid email address, as well as your name, phone number and birthday that we may contact you at to verify your identity and forward your mail to!).

Q: My email username includes one or more of the following symbols:

  • Starts or end with a "." (eg. .jdoe@iwon.com or jdoe.@iwon.com)
  • Contains an address with two or more "." characters in succession (eg. j..doe@iwon.com j.doe..rules@iwon.com)
  • Contains any of the following characters: ~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) = + { } ; : ' " / ? , < > ` \ |

A: Please visit the following page for a complete explanation of what is taking place with your iWon Email account: Notice to members with special characters

Q: My password and email member name are not working - but I know I am typing in the right ones! Help!

A: With our recent security upgrades to the iWon Email system we have implemented case sensitivity with your password. So, if your password includes capital and lower-case letters, you must enter your password exactly as you registered them. (e.g. If your password was iwon you cannot enter iWon.)

Q: Why can't I press my keyboard's enter button to login to my account?

A: We are in the process of adding the ability for you to login to your account simply by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. Until then, however, you must click on the "Login" button to access your email account. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Q: I am a Netscape user; when I click the "I am not EmailUserName" link right below the login box, it doesn't clear out the name - why?

A: Netscape tends to handle "cookies" a little different than other browsers. We are updating our systems to take this into account for Netscape users.

In the meantime, the short term fix is to clear your iWon cookie. To do so, please access the URL provided below, to clear your iWon cookie, and then try signing back on to iWon to see if this resolves the problem.

Q: I've lost my email password - what can I do?

A: In the upcoming weeks, we will be adding a lost email password tool that will allow you to access your forgotten email password. Until then, please utilize the following feedback form and a customer support representative will contact you. Please include the email address that you are requesting the password for, your name, birthday and phone that you registered your email account under.

Q: I get a "strange" email login page after I log in that looks nothing like the iWon Email login page - Why?

A: This is due to a rare error that is generated when your browser doesn't recognize certain web page functionality. We recommend you hit the back button or go back to the iWon home page and attempt to access iWon Email again. If you continue to have difficulty click here to use our feedback form.

Q: Why do I have to log back in to my iWon Email account anytime I hit "Refresh" or "Reload" while using my account?

A: Due to increased security of your email account, we have enabled a more secure user identification system. This is for your protection to ensure that your account email session does not continue once you leave the email system. We will be working on various solutions in the upcoming weeks to allow you to remain "logged in" once you hit the refresh button.

Q: I use a Netscape browser and can't print my email. Why?

A: We have identified this problem and are working to solve it shortly. Apparently, the new iWon Email system uses some "frames" which are not compatible with the Netscape printing function. Our technical team should have a solution to this issue shortly.

Q: I am seeing "Lost and Found" folders in my mailbox - What are these?

A: As we were upgrading your email account, the computer system placed certain email files in temporary locations. What you are seeing are these temporary files that the system has yet to place in your permanent file locations. Don't worry - our system is currently "catching up." Your files will automatically be placed in your folders within the upcoming week!

Q: My cursor jumps around as I am typing an email!

A: If you find that your cursor moves while you're "composing" an email, it may be due to a graphic or feature that has taken longer than usual to finish loading. To resolve this, either:

  1. Wait for the page to fully load before typing by watching the "loading" status in the lower left corner of your browser, or
  2. Continue to type your message and place your cursor to the last location place in your email you were composing before the "cursor jump" took place.
We will continue to work to improve this issue.

Q: Where is my trash folder?

A: The new iWon Email system allows all email you wish to delete to be disposed of instantly from your account. Previously, your iWon Email trash folder simply acted as just that - a folder.

If you would like to create a trash folder, click on the "Folders" button in the left navigation bar and then click "Create Folder." Finally, name the new folder as "Trash." Remember, this folder will be treated as one of your "personal" folders and not as a "trash can." To delete messages you must mark the check box next to the message and then click "Delete." In order to place email into your newly created "Trash" folder you will need to utilize the move to function instead of delete.

Q: I keep getting "Error Code 32, 24, or 59." What are these?

A: All three of these error messages are a result of your email session having been "timed out." You see, one of the updated security features of the new iWon Email times your activity on your email account. This way, if you get up from your desk and leave your email window open but inactive, the system will automatically log you out after 30 minutes. We recommend, however, that you "log out" of your iWon Email account for personal security and privacy any time you plan to leave your computer for any period of time.

Q: When I set a forward date on my "Auto reply valid until:" in my preferences it doesn't save the date. Why?

A: We are aware of this issue and have placed new settings in your preferences area. This should resolve any issues that you have had. If you continue to have problems click here to use our feedback form.

Q: My sent emails are not going into my sent items folder. Why?

A: In order for your sent emails to be saved in your sent items folder you will need to click the "Save a copy in my sent items" checkbox on your compose mail page for each message you send.

Q: I can't delete my email or folders! My mailbox is full and my messages are getting bounced back.

A: Please let us know your email account name by contacting us at the following feedback form.
