From guest starring on Just Shoot Me to his Training Day cameo, rapper Snoop Dogg has wrangled himself some A-list acting projects. Yet, he's also not shy about slumming it in the porn world. Hence, his new deal with Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis to host his own video due out in August demurely titled Girls Gone Wild Doggy Style. Yikes!
"Snoop's the ultimate pimp," Francis tells TV Guide Online. "He loves women and he loves the videos. He's a fan and he wanted to make his own. He's the superstar there in the street with the camera in his hand, making the girls do crazy things. This is going to pave the way for other celebrities to do their own Girls Gone Wild videos." Francis adds he "already [has] tons of celebrity offers on the table," though he won't name names.
If you're a night owl, you've seen GGW's infamous infomercials, which Snoop soon will begin appearing in. Basically, they depict female Spring Breakers and Mardi Gras revelers flashing their tops (and other things) to thrill eager "documentarians" with camcorders. Asked to sum up his product's appeal, Francis incredulously answers: "It's young, real college-age women taking off their clothes!"
Francis currently faces litigation from ladies who later came to regret their on-camera frankness. Will he be doling out any financial settlements? "No way," he insists. "We won't settle any lawsuits ever. We'll fight them all the way to the end and we'll win. We can last longer than they can and we're ultimately right.
"For somebody to sue us for invasion of privacy is just ridiculous," he adds. "They're exposing themselves in front of thousands of people in public places. They make their own decisions." Yes, but aren't these female flashers often inebriated when asked to display their wares? "Most of the time," he emphasizes, "the girls are sober and they just do it because they want to be crazy."
As for Snoop, he's crazy like a fox. Asked if the rapper will enjoy a percentage of his video's profits and what self-respecting pimp daddy wouldn't? Francis refuses to reveal financial details. "It's very similar to his record deal," he hints. "I can say that."
