TV's Young Stars Work Movie Mojo
by Nerina Rammairone
The O.C.'s Adam Brody has flown north to Vancouver to shoot In the Land of Women, a movie about a writer who moves in with his wacky grandmother after his girlfriend dumps him. Meanwhile, his girlfriend, Rachel Bilson, will canoodle in Montreal with Scrubs star Zach Braff in a remake of the hit 2001 Italian drama The Last Kiss. And Mischa Barton will hook up with Darth Vader, um, Hayden Christensen in Italy for The Decameron, a period piece that follows a pack of young nobles as they wait out the plague. Desperate Housewives' Jesse Metcalfe is off to Vancouver for John Tucker Must Die, a comedy about a serial cheater who gets his comeuppance when his three ex-girlfriends band together to exact revenge. DH costar Eva Longoria goes to Toronto and becomes embroiled in a plot to assassinate the president in The Sentinel. (The movie also stars 24's Kiefer Sutherland as what else? an agent.) Jennifer Garner is in Vancouver for Catch and Release, a comedy about a woman coping with her husband's death and the secrets he left behind. And her Alias costar Ron Rifkin takes to the New York stage in Jon Robin Baitz's The Paris Letter. (Baitz penned one of last season's "Sloane Clone" episodes.) Read what your fave TV stars from Lost, Smallville and Without a Trace are doing this season in the new issue of TV Guide magazine. It's the Family Guy issue with four special covers to choose among.
