Lymphoma: Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia                   More info on this condition
 Prognosis
Median survival of patients with WM is four to five years. Some patients may live anywhere from 10 to 25 years or longer after being diagnosed. Certain factors are associated with shorter survival, including older age, male gender, and low blood cell counts. Survival is also affected by the amount of hemoglobin (the oxygen-carrying molecule in blood), age at diagnosis, weight loss and sensitivity to cold temperature.
