 Treatment
 WM is considered incurable, so treatment is designed to relieve symptoms and serious complications such as anemia. Treatment is based on the severity of the disease and may include chemotherapy, surgery, radiation or plasmapheresis (removal and filtering of plasma). WM patients who have no symptoms are not usually treated, but they are monitored carefully.
