Soft Tissue & Bone Cancer: Bone Cancer                   More info on this condition
 Follow-Up
During the first two years after treatment, patients should have physical exams every three months to detect any disease recurrences as early as possible. In the third year, this can be reduced to every four months. In the fourth and fifth year, patients need an exam twice a year and only yearly thereafter. Chest X-rays or CT scans may be done to detect metastases to the lungs. CT scans and MRIs may be used to detect other types of tumors that can recur following treatment.
