 Symptoms
The first sign of bone cancer is usually pain or a painless swelling or mass in the arms or legs. Tumors in or near joints can cause stiffness or tenderness. If the cancer is in the pelvic area or at the base of the spine, patients may experience a loss of bladder or bowel function or back pain. Fractures (broken bones) can result from most forms of bone cancer.
