Thyroid Cancer: Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia (MEN)                   More info on this condition
 Prolactinoma
A specific type of pituitary tumor called a prolactinoma may develop in people with MEN 1. The tumor can become enlarged and press against the nerves that carry visual impulses from the eyes to the brain. Impaired vision is often the first sign of a pituitary tumor in MEN 1. These types of tumors are usually treated with surgery, radiation or both. A drug called a dopamine antagonist can be used to shrink the tumor, lowering the level of prolactin.
