LEARNLETS
How can I prevent my car doors from freezing shut?
1. Ask for zinc ointment at any auto parts store. It comes in a tube and looks like petroleum jelly. Smear a thin coat of the zinc on the rubber gasket around each door. One application will last all winter. Try some on the gasket of your trunk lid, as well.
2. Another option is to spray a bit of silicone spray (also available at any auto parts store) onto an old rag and wipe it onto all the rubber gaskets around your car doors.
