How can I replace windshield washer fluid myself?
Don't confuse your coolant reservoir (which can also be clear and can contain blue fluid) with your washer fluid reservoir. One will say "Engine Coolant Only," and the one you want should say "Washer Fluid."

It's easy to do. All you need is windshield washer fluid purchased from an automotive parts store, and a funnel. If the weather is cold, you may want to purchase windshield washer fluid that contains antifreeze, or you may want to add windshield washer antifreeze to the fluid reservoir. All you have to do is add fluid to the reservoir, there is no need to change "old" fluid.1. Open the hood of the car and locate the washer system reservoir. It will be clear, and the washer fluid inside it will most often be colored blue and will be visible. If you can't find the windshield washer reservoir, consult your car owner's manual.2. Check to make sure the fluid is up to the full level. 3. If the reservoir needs more washer fluid, open the cap on top and use the funnel to pour fluid into the reservoir. You can fill the reservoir all the way to the top, unless there's a specific marking on the side of the reservoir that denotes when it's full. If the marking is there, only fill the reservoir to the full line.
