How can I keep eggs fresh longer?
Don't wash raw eggs until you're ready to cook with them. Rinsing them beforehand washes off a protective layer and makes them go rotten faster.

Does your refrigerator have an egg holder located in the door? Don't put your eggs there! Eggs need a constant low temperature in order for them to stay fresh. Items located in the door are susceptible to temperature changes from the warm air in the room. Store the eggs on the bottom shelf, and toward the back for optimum freshness.
What should you use the egg holder for? Spices! Any spices you use on a regular basis can be kept on your counter, but those plastic baggies containing bulk pepper, oregano, basil and the like will last a lot longer in the refrigerator. Make sure they're tightly sealed!
