How do I keep my chef knives in good condition? |

Good chef knives (such as a paring or chopping blade) don't come cheap. The best way to protect these investments is to store them correctly. Don't throw them in the kitchen drawer with your flatware, or let flatware jostle the knives in the drying rack. The metal utensils can nick and dent a knife's fine blade. Instead, store your knives in a wood block or on a wall-mounted magnetic strip.
