How do I make croutons? |

To make your own croutons, butter several slices of bread (stale or fresh) on one side (use margarine if you like). Dice the bread and toast the cubes in an ungreased skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently, until they're golden brown.
For flavored croutons, drop them into a bag with seasoning salt, minced herbs, or grated Parmesan cheese while they're still hot. Shake the bag to coat the croutons with seasoning.
