How can I grow pineapples? |

Next time you or a friend buy a whole pineapple, you can try getting it to take root. Slice off the top (green leaves) portion all in one piece. Then break off any remaining yellow pineapple from the bottom of your new greenery. Next, break off the leaves one by one until you start seeing rootlets nestled among the leaves. Suspend these in water 'til the roots get a little longer. Once they're ready, plant the shoots in soil. This is not guaranteed to work, but it's worth a try and should be fun!
