LEARNLETS
What can I do with empty wine bottles?
If you have really large wine bottles, you can fill them with colored sand, dried flowers, marbles, sea glass, or dried beans. If the items you use are heavy enough, you can then use the bottle as a doorstop. It works great!

Make a time capsule by putting sentimental things inside a wine bottle and then stopping it up with a candle. Light the candle and let it burn for a while until the wax has dripped onto the bottle and sealed it shut.

Take glass seed beads, string them onto thin filament wire, and wrap them around the wine bottle. Just be sure to wrap the wire in sections--don't try to create one long strip that goes all the way around the bottle. You can use a clear epoxy or crazy glue to help hold the beads in place. When you're done, leave the beaded bottle as-is, or add a candle or a few flowers to make it a nice centerpiece.
