How do I get a beer stain out of the upholstery of my couch? |

As with most stains, it's easiest to remove a beer stain while it's still fresh--the sooner the better. Immediately after the beer gets spilled, follow these steps:
- Soak up the excess beer with a rag or towel.
- Mix a teaspoon of bleach-free detergent with a cup of warm water.
- Dab the diluted detergent onto the stain with a sponge.
- Soak up most of the moisture with a clean, dry rag.
- Mix 1/4 cup household vinegar with 1/2 cup warm water.
- Dab the couch with the diluted vinegar.
- Soak up the moisture again.
- Dab the cleaned spot with a sponge and clear water.
- Dry the spot with a towel.
