How do I get a beer stain out of the upholstery of my couch?
As with most stains, it's easiest to remove a beer stain while it's still fresh--the sooner the better. Immediately after the beer gets spilled, follow these steps:
  1. Soak up the excess beer with a rag or towel.
  2. Mix a teaspoon of bleach-free detergent with a cup of warm water.
  3. Dab the diluted detergent onto the stain with a sponge.
  4. Soak up most of the moisture with a clean, dry rag.
  5. Mix 1/4 cup household vinegar with 1/2 cup warm water.
  6. Dab the couch with the diluted vinegar.
  7. Soak up the moisture again.
  8. Dab the cleaned spot with a sponge and clear water.
  9. Dry the spot with a towel.
