LEARNLETS How can I keep an avocado from turning brown? If you have sliced avocado, sprinkle lemon juice over the top, and cover tightly with plastic wrap. If you have leftover guacamole dip, bury the avocado pit in it, and press a piece of plastic wrap flat on the surface, so that it's not exposed to air. Simply soak your avocado in ice water for a few minutes. It doesn't matter if you peel it first or not; it will stay nice and green for days!
