How do I remove a thick paste, sauce, soup, or hash from a can? |
Remove the top of the can completely, then turn it over and make a small (less than 1/4 inch, or .75 centimeters) hole in the bottom. Blow into this hole and the entire contents of the can will come out in one piece, ready for slicing.
If your tomato paste, cranberry sauce, or condensed soup won't come out of the can, just remove the top of the can, hold it upside down over a dish, and use your can opener to open the bottom. The contents will slide out very easily.
