LEARNLETS
If my rice is cooked before the rest of the meal is ready, how do I keep it hot?
When the rice is done, turn off the heat under the pot. Put a slice of bread (preferably stale) on top of the cooked rice, and put the lid back on tightly. The bread forms a seal that keeps both heat and moisture from escaping the rice before you're ready to serve.
