How do I pour a beer with little foam? How do I pour a beer with a foamy head? |

Some prefer a thick head of foam at the top of a beer, but many beer connoisseurs don't. To pour a beer without head, just hold the glass or mug at a 45 degree angle as you pour the beer slowly down the side of the glass.
If a beer is too foamy for your taste, you can wipe your forehead with a finger (to pick up a little sweat) and then dip your finger into the top of your beer. This will eliminate most of the foam. CAUTION: Don't reach over to do this for someone else or try out this trick in polite company!
To add some foam to the top of a beer, swish a little of the beer around at the bottom of the can or bottle, and then pour it over the beer in your glass.
