IWON : Food & Drink : Learnlets : Reduce the Fat in a Prepared Soup Powered by learn2.com
LEARNLETS
How can I cut the fat out of prepared foods?
Put an ice cube inside a paper towel or piece of cheese cloth and drag that across the top of the soup. The fat will congeal on the paper towel or cheese cloth. You can do this with broth or pan drippings, too.

For canned soup, put the can in the refrigerator for a couple hours before you want to open it. When you open the can the fat will all be solidified on the top and can easily be removed.
