I recently lost a hotel reservation. How do I make sure this doesn't happen again? |

Confirm it. To do so, simply call up the hotel and explain this is what you want to do. Make sure they have your name spelled correctly, and make sure they have the dates right (include month, day(s), and year). You may have to give them a credit card number to ensure they hold the room for you. Confirming your reservation is especially important if you made it via the Internet in the first place. Hotels aren't obligated to keep a reservation, but they are obligated to hold a confirmation (which means you'll be charged for the room if you don't show).
