What precautions can I take to make sure that my dog doesn't scare the maids in a hotel?
Even if your hotel allows dogs (and knows that you have one in your room), your maid might not be expecting to run into a dog in your room. For this reason, and lots of others, never leave your dog unattended in a hotel room. When you and your doggy are in the room, hang the Do Not Disturb sign on your door and latch it to help prevent unexpected surprises. Also try shutting excitable dogs in the restroom for a few minutes, before you open the door for room service.
