In your best coffeeware, like demitasse cups or scalloped glasses, evenly distribute the coffee, leaving room for an inch or so of foamy milk.

Without reserving the foam, pour the steamed milk over the coffee, filling the cup to just below the brim.



Spoon off some of the leftover foam and gently top off each cup, forming a small peak. Sprinkle with the topping of your choice (cinnamon, nutmeg, cocoa, etc.).

Savor--don't slurp--the ambrosia you've created and share it with your friends!
