What is the iWon Prize Machine?
The iWon Prize Machine is an "instant win" game, similar to an online slot machine, except it is 100% free! Just pull on the top of the Spin Lever, and start the wheels turning. If they land on three identical images, you're an Instant Winner!

Yes. You must be an iWon member and at least 18 years old to use the Prize Machine. If you are not already an iWon member, you can register at any time by going through iWon's quick and easy
registration process. You also need to be signed in with your member name at the time you play. Registration for iWon is absolutely free.

Do I earn entries into the iWon Sweepstakes by using the iWon Prize Machine?
You earn 5 entries into the iWon Sweepstakes for going to the Prize Machine, but you do not earn any additional entries for spinning. Once you have used the Prize Machine, however, there are different ways you can earn SPINS on the iWon site.

How many spins do I get with the iWon Prize Machine?
Every day, you start with 6 spins (the "day" for the iWon Prize Machine begins at 5:15am ET and ends at 4:45am ET). There is an absolute maximum of 50 spins each day for any one person.

Can I have multiple accounts and earn additional spins?
No. It is against the
Official Rules of the iWon Prize Machine to earn more than 50 spins in 1 day through the use of multiple accounts.

What happens to my leftover spins at the end of the day?
Each day, at 5:15am ET, the Spin Counter will reset to 6 spins, regardless of how few or how many spins you had remaining the previous day.

How do I know I have received my additional spins?
The Prize Machine updates your spin counter every time you spin the wheels. If your counter has not updated, simply "refresh" or "reload" your browser.

How do I claim my Reward Points prize?
When you win Reward Points on the Prize Machine, a pop-up box will appear with instructions on how to claim your prize.

Or, if you prefer, you can click on the Prize Claim link to the left of the Prize Machine to claim your Reward Points.

Will my Reward Points prize automatically appear in my Entry Counter?
Once you claim your Reward Points prize, they should immediately appear in your Reward Points total on your Entry Counter.

If they do not appear, we suggest that you click on the "refresh" or "reload" button on your Web browser. In some cases, you may have to close your browser and re-open it to see your new Reward Points total.

Will my name appear on the Winners page if I win Reward Points?
No. At this time, we only list cash and merchandise prize winners on the Winners page. We also promote the total number of Reward Points winners and the total number of Reward Points awarded, including those that you have won.

Will my Reward Points appear on my Prize Claim page?
Reward Points will appear on your Prize Claim page the first time you go to the page after you have won the prize, but only if you have not claimed them through the pop-up box.

After you claim your prize, the Reward Points will no longer show up on the Prize Claim page.

What happens if I am unable to click on the pop-up window to claim my Reward Points?
If you are unable to click on the pop-up window, simply click on the Prize Claim page link to claim your Reward Points prize.

Yes. As for any PM3 prize, you are eligible to win multiple times in a day.

How do I know if my Reward Points have been updated?
Once you claim your Reward Points prize, they should immediately appear in your Reward Points total on your Entry Counter.

When I click on the link to claim my Reward Points I get a "Not Eligible" error page. Why is this happening?
This means either that you either a) double-clicked on the link (please single click on the prize claim link) or b) already successfully claimed your prize.

If you already claimed your prize, you should see your Reward Points in your Entry Counter. If they do not appear, we suggest that you click on the "refresh" or "reload" button on your Web browser. In some cases, you may have to close your browser and re-open it to see the Reward Points award.

TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
How do I install the iWon Prize Machine?
It's simple! Visit the iWon Prize Machine "Play" page, and your browser will start downloading the Prize Machine. When asked to confirm that you would like to install the Prize Machine, answer "Yes". (Note to Netscape users: you will have to click "Grant" and "Install" to install). Once the install is complete, click "OK". That's all it takes!

What are the system requirements for installing the iWon Prize Machine?
The iWon Prize Machine is currently available for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Window NT 4.0, and Windows 2000. The iWon Prize Machine software and cache require only 1 megabyte of disk space on the disk drive that contains your windows directory (usually the C: drive). If you are currently able to run a supported web browser on your computer, you should be able to install and run the iWon Prize Machine. In particular, your web browser and the iWon Prize Machine require a 486 (or newer) compatible processor, 16 MB of RAM, VGA display (SVGA is recommended), a mouse or similar pointing device, and Internet access.

Will the iWon Prize Machine work with my Web browser?
The iWon Prize Machine will work with the most recent versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator (with the exception of Netscape 6.0 or 6.01). The iWon Prize Machine is fully compatible with Internet Explorer versions 4.0 and above. The Prize Machine is compatible with Netscape Navigator versions 4.0 through 4.72. The Prize Machine is not compatible with browser versions below 4.0 and currently is not compatible with Netscape 6.0 or 6.01.

Internet Explorer: Go to the Help menu located at the top of your browser. Select "About Internet Explorer." A box will appear that tells you what version you have.

Netscape Navigator: Go to the Help menu located at the top of your browser. Select "About Navigator." A page will appear that tells you the name of the browser (Navigator or Communicator) and the version.


Note to WebTV Users: The iWon Prize Machine currently does not function with the WebTV interface.

Does the iWon Prize Machine track where I go on the Internet?
The Prize Machine does not monitor or report back to iWon with information about where you are traveling when you leave the iWon service (which includes our co-branded sites) or what you do on other websites.

Keep in mind that the Prize Machine is subject -- in all respects -- to iWon's privacy policy. This means that we will not share any personally identifiable information you provide (whether it comes through the Prize Machine or anywhere else) unless you have given us permission to do so.

I received a message on my screen with an error code between -100 and -112. What does it mean?
 
  • Error Code -100: The iWon Prize Machine was unable to run because of your computer's configuration. Most likely, your computer is out of disk space or you have limited access rights on your computer. Try clearing some space on your computer's hard drive, or contact your systems administrator for more information.
  • Error Code -101: Your computer ran out of memory or is out of disk space. Try clearing some space on your computer's hard drive.
  • Error Codes -102 through -111: You have experienced a communications error. Likely causes of these errors include
    1) your computer is behind a "firewall" which limits Internet communications
    2) your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is experiencing difficulties
    3) the iWon Prize Machine is refilling with prizes (this happens between 4:45am and 5:15am ET every day)
    4) iWon is experiencing technical difficulties.
    In general, try refreshing your browser, and if that does not work, spend some time on the rest of the iWon site, and try again later!
  • Error Code -112: There are many possible causes for this error. Follow the directions you received in the message window to troubleshoot and help resolve this error.

I seem to have lost spins. What happened to them?
No spins are ever lost during the playing of the Prize Machine. Our game servers keep track of all the spins you've made and have available. If you see a spin has been deducted even though a communication error occurred or a spin didn't stop, it is possible you have won a prize.

I received a message on my screen with an error code of 400-11, 400-13. What does it mean?
  • Error Code 400 -11 "Not Eligible" - You will receive this error if you double click (rather than single click) on the prize claim link or if you have already successfully claimed your prize.
  • Error 400-13 "Internal Error" - You will receive this error if iWon is experiencing a temporary internal glitch. Please try again later.

I received a "HTTP Status 500" error. What does it mean?
If you receive this error it means that the Prize Machine is temporarily unavailable. If you get this error when trying to claim a prize, please click on the link below to send a message to iWon Member Services. Please include as many details as possible about the problem you experienced.

Netscape says "Java (or Smartupdate) must be enabled to install the iWon Prize Machine."
You need to have both Java and Smartupdate enable in Netscape to get the iWon Prize Machine. Follow the instructions below to change these settings.
 
Enabling Java (for all Netscape versions):
1) Go to the "Edit" menu at the top of your browser
2) Select "Preferences"
3) Click on the category named "Advanced"
4) Make sure checkbox named "Enable Java" is checked

Enabling Smartupdate (Netscape 4.0):
1) Go to the "Edit" menu at the top of your browser
2) Select "Preferences"
3) Click on the category named "Advanced"
4) Make sure checkbox named "Enable AutoInstall" is checked

Enabling Smartupdate (Netscape 4.5 and after):
1) Go to the "Edit" menu at the top of your browser
2) Select "Preferences"
3) Click on the category named "Advanced"
4) Click on "Smartupdate"
5) Make sure checkbox named "Smartupdate" is checked

Please note that you may need to restart your browser for the changes to take effect.

Internet Explorer says "current security setting prohibit running" when downloading the iWon Prize Machine.
You need to change your security setting to Medium in order to successfully download using Internet Explorer. Follow the instructions below to change your security settings.
 
Internet Explorer 4.0:
1) Go to the "View" menu at the top of your browser
2) Select "Internet Options"
3) Go to the Security tab and choose Medium security and then click "OK"

Internet Explorer 5.0:
1) Go to the "Tools" menu at the top of your browser
2) Select "Internet Options"
3) Go to the Security tab and choose Medium security and then click "OK"
