Echoes of the Gulf War

February 20, 2001

In a move that evoked memories of his own father’s administration, President George W. Bush on Friday ordered 24 U.S. and British planes to enforce the “no-fly zone in Iraq” by bombing Iraqi military installations near Baghdad. The attack has drawn criticism from U.N. Security Council members Russia, France and China, and Iraqi president Saddam Hussein has vowed revenge.

Do you support these air strikes on Iraq? Should we fear Hussein’s threats of retaliation? How do you think we should be dealing with Saddam Hussein?
