| Sound off about... President Bush: The first 100 days |
How would you rate the first 100 days of the Bush administration?
March 30, 2001
The Honeymoon isn't over yet. At least it shouldn't be if tradition holds. Most new presidential administrations are given a 100-day grace period from Congress, where Congress will push through nearly all legislation that the president proposes.
President George W. Bush is only about 70 days into his administration, and his honeymoon has not been without the occasional lovers' spat. Of course, the marriage between Bush and Congress started off rather rocky, getting stalled at the altar for several weeks as votes were counted in Florida.
But now that Bush has appointed his cabinet, rounded out his staff and begun implementing various initiatives, how do you feel about the job he has done? Are you happy with how he has performed as Commander in Chief? How do you think he will fare in upcoming months? Is the Honeymoon over, or will Congress grant him the cooperation he needs to pass through programs?
